Dakota Alert MURS-HT-KIT Motion Sensor Kit
The Dakota Alert MURS-HT-KIT Motion Sensor Kit provides real-time monitoring in your home or business. It includes one battery-operated MURS Alert Transmitter (MAT) and one M538-HT Wireless VHF Transceiver. The MURS kit is ideal for people who are out and about such as sales staff, security guards, and outdoorsmen.
The MURS Alert Transmitter detects moving vehicles, animals, or people from 30 to 80 feet away. The transmitter employs a Passive Infrared (PIR) Sensor so it can only detect large objects that emit heat. You don't have to worry about the transmitter detecting a falling leaf. Once the MAT detects an unexpected person, it will automatically send a pre-programmed alarm signal to the wireless M538-HT MURS radio.
The M538-HT MURS Radio uses a low-power, short-range service. It can operate in Very High Frequency (VHF) but doesn't require an FCC license. The Multi-Use Radio Service (MURS) was created by the US Federal Communications Commission and complies with their strict regulations.
Both MURS transmitter and transceiver are readily expandable. You can add 1 MAT in the driveway, another one on the gate, 3~5 inside the house or shop. You can pair these transmitters to an unlimited number of M538-HT transceivers. The expandable system is equally helpful when you go for game hunting. Because the MAT detects large animals only, you can take advantage of this and monitor baited areas.
