The Aligner Blade Guide (ABG) works to keep the blade at the ideal angle for sharpening so that you don't have to. There are a total of seven angle settings, so it will work with practically any blade angle from razor blades to meat cleavers. The deep clamp design securely holds blades up to 3/8 inch in thickness while sharpening, and its engineered resin won't mar or scratch the blade of the knife like metal clamps will.
With two of DMT's innovative four-inch Diamond Whetstones included in the Aligner Hone Kit, you can expect precise sharpening with professional results. DMT's exclusive monocrystalline diamond surface requires less blade pressure when sharpening--the diamond does all of the hard work! Also, these revolutionary DMT Diamond Whetstones require no messy oil: you can sharpen dry or with water. Clean-up is a breeze as well: simply rinse stone with water, dry, and store in a dry place.
Use the four-inch Fine Diamond Whetstone (25 micron / 600 mesh) for a razor-sharp edge. Then take advantage of the kit's Extra-Fine Diamond Whetstone (9 micron / 1200 mesh) to polish and refine the edge to nearly perfect precision.
The Aligner Sharpening System is not only quick and easy to use, but it's also extremely safe.
