The Impulse has a completely different look from any other Polaroid camera, but it is just as easy to use as any other 600 type instant cameras. Its uniquely designed as a single piece construction, with a sturdy body, rubber binocular grips and a pop-up flash. This camera is great for beginners who want something reliable and hard-wearing with its own unique style.
Designed for Polaroid's 600-series integral film, the Impulse models are similar in body design to the OneStep or Pronto! models released for SX-70 film in that they feature a non-folding plastic body, single-element plastic lens and fixed focus.
The basic Impulse model as shown here is usually found in a dark gray color. The body is a hard-wearing plastic and features rubber grips around the rear and flash-ready light. The flash is raised by pressing down onto the top of the unit; this also turns the camera on and retracts the lens cover.

The Polaroid Impulse is an excellent 600 type camera. If youre looking to use 600 type films, and cant afford a Polaroid SLR, this is one of the best cameras out there for the photography enthusiasts. The Polaroid Impulse is fairly simplistic and relatively easy to use. It has a phenomenal viewfinder in comparison to viewfinders found on other Polaroid 600 cameras. Since it is a 600 model camera, it works with expired Polaroid 600 film, as well as the Impossible Projects PX 600 Silver Shade and PX 680 Color Shade lines of film.
