Ultra wide and bright, the Samyang 16mm T2.2 ED AS UMC CS lens is optimised for cinematography with digital reflex cameras and mirrorless compact cameras with APS-C sensors. Samyang VDSLR lenses are fitted with decoupled apertures and rack-compatible gearing which provides effortless and accurate rotation of focus and aperture rings. The lens has been designed with extreme care for detail. Its optics comprise 13 elements in 11 groups, including low-dispersion ED, aspherical and hybrid-aspherical elements. The optics feature multi-layer anti-reflective UMC coatings to ensure optimum light transmission. To facilitate the reading on the focus and aperture scale, both these indexes are marked in a parallel position to the optical axis of the lens.
