Description
  • Coiled polyurethane two-tube bundle color coded in light blue and clear for use in industrial pneumatic applications
  • Single-layer polyurethane tubes for durability, persistent coil memory, flexibility in cold weather, and resistance to weathering, abrasion, oil, and kinks
  • 20 spirals for 14-1/4" compressed length and 3.5' working length
  • Temperature range of -40 to +160 degrees F
  • Meets NSF International standard 51 for commercial food equipment

This Technibond 2MPS-532-20-02 spiral polyurethane pneumatic tubing bundle consists of two 5/32" OD color-coded tubes bonded and coiled in 20 spirals for a 14-1/4" compressed length and a 3.5' working length. The tubes are color coded in light blue and clear, and are made with a single layer of polyurethane for durability, persistent coil memory, flexibility in cold weather, and resistance to weathering, abrasion, oil, and kinks. Each tube in the bundle has an outside diameter (OD) of 5/32" and an inside diameter (ID) of 3/32". Shrink tubing at each end of the 7/8" OD coil prevents the bundle from separating through regular use, but tubes can be separated when necessary without damaging their structural integrity or performance. This tubing bundle has an operating temperature range of -40 to +160 degrees F and a Shore hardness rating of A 98. It meets NSF International standard 51 for commercial food equipment and is compatible with push-to-connect, barbed, and compression fittings (sold separately). This spiral polyurethane pneumatic tubing bundle is suitable for use with automation equipment, pneumatic equipment with multiple controls, and in other industrial applications.
Industrial hoses transfer or convey air or liquid in hose systems. When selecting industrial hoses, use the STAMPED method to help determine the type of hose needed: S = Size (ID, OD, and length) T = Temperature (maximum and minimum temperatures of material being transported) A = Application (industry or process) M = Material (to be conveyed, type and concentration) P = Pressure (maximum working pressure) E = Ends (type of end connectors or couplings on hose) D = Delivery method (volume and velocity)The inside diameter of the hose must be adequate to keep pressure loss to a minimum and avoid damage to the hose due to heat generation or excessive turbulence. The hose must be capable of withstanding the minimum and maximum temperatures that occur within the hose system. Some applications require specialized oils or chemicals to be conveyed through the system. In this case, hose selection must ensure compatibility of the hose tube, cover, couplings and O-rings with the fluid used. Industrial hoses are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation.
